Welcome to My Little Corner of the Internet
Hello, darling,
I'm Sandra, and I'm so glad you're here.
If you had met me several years ago, you probably would have met a very different version of me. I was constantly rushing, doing several things at once, and somehow still feeling as though I wasn't doing enough. I rarely gave myself permission to slow down, and when I did, I often felt guilty for not being productive.
For a long time, I thought that was simply what being a busy, successful woman looked like.
Eventually, I realized I didn't want to live that way anymore.
I started taking a closer look at how I was spending my time, what I was prioritizing, and how the pace of my life was affecting the way I felt. I began making small changes rather than trying to completely reinvent myself. I became more intentional about my routines, my health, my home, my relationships, and eventually, about what I wanted my life to feel like.
I'm still figuring that out.
My life certainly isn't slow and peaceful all the time. I have a full-time career, a family I love, a home to care for, errands to run, plans to make, and plenty of days when my schedule doesn't cooperate with the calm life I had envisioned.
But I've learned that intentional living doesn't require an empty calendar or a perfectly organized life.
For me, it's about paying attention.
It's enjoying my coffee before the day gets busy. Taking care of myself instead of always putting myself at the bottom of the list. Creating a home that feels welcoming. Getting dressed in a way that makes me feel feminine and like myself. Making time for the people I love. Reading a good book, taking a walk, planning something fun, setting a beautiful table just because I feel like it, or recognizing when I need to rest.
It's also about knowing that life won't always look the way I planned and learning to adjust without believing I've somehow failed.
That's really what I want this little corner of the internet to be about.
You'll find conversations here about intentional living, femininity, personal style, home, wellness, routines, relationships, books, planning, and whatever else I'm finding meaningful in the season of life I'm in.
I don't have a perfect formula for living well, and I'm not interested in pretending that I do. I'm simply a woman who has learned that I enjoy my life much more when I'm present enough to actually notice it.
I still love beautiful things. I love getting dressed up, fresh flowers, handwritten notes, a good cup of coffee, thoughtful traditions, and making ordinary moments feel a little special. But I've also learned that a beautiful life isn't necessarily one that always looks beautiful.
Sometimes it's a messy kitchen after dinner with people you love. Sometimes it's takeout because the day didn't go according to plan. Sometimes it's an early morning with a cup of coffee and nowhere else you need to be.
And sometimes it's simply recognizing that the ordinary life happening around you is already worth appreciating.
So whether you've been reading for a while or you've only just found me, welcome.
I'm glad you're here, and I hope you'll stay awhile.
I'd love to know: what does a well-lived life look like to you?
With grace,
Sandra
