5 Tips For a Successful Week

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you feel like you just can't keep up? I have! And let me tell ya, they are not fun! I tend to feel super tired and lack the motivation to get things done! I'm not too fond of this feeling, so I made it my mission to find a solution.

With a coffee in one hand and my planner in the other, I sat down to reassess those not-so-great weeks. To my surprise, they all had a few things in common. I was running on a few hours of sleep, spending too much time picking an outfit, and packing unhealthy lunches. In other words, I was not setting myself up for a successful week. You might be wondering what I mean by that. Well, I'm here to share with you what setting myself up for a successful week means to me.

  1. Plan the week ahead: I like to spend some time reviewing my calendar on Saturday mornings. This helps me mentally prepare for the week ahead. I prioritize my tasks to know which ones require more attention than others. I also try to distribute the demanding tasks evenly throughout the week so that I don't wear myself out on any given day.

  2. Weekly reflection: While I have my planner out, I also like to do a weekly review. This helps me determine if there are things that I could improve or do this coming week differently. Weekly reflections bring attention to what is currently going on in my life. Sometimes I need to modify my routine based on what is going on. Because, let's face it, our lives are ever-evolving.

  3. Plan outfits: I also take the time to plan my outfits for the week. This small task is a huge game-changer! I avoid staring at my closet and thinking, "I have nothing to wear!" Which is the most frustrating feeling to deal with first thing in the morning.

  4. Meal prep: I prepare my office meals in advance on Sunday afternoons. For breakfast, I make overnight oats for all 5 days. I switch between two or three different flavors to keep it interesting. For lunch, I usually make soup and a rice and protein dish. This allows me to alternate, so I don't have the same lunch two days in a row.

  5. Go to bed early: Getting a good night's rest is essential for starting the week off right. It feels so good to wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day no matter what lies ahead.

These are 5 things I like to do on the weekend to prepare for a successful week.

I hope you can use a tip or two I shared or gather inspiration to create your own list. Either way, I hope you find this information helpful. Now it's your turn! I challenge you to adopt a routine that sets you up for success week. I bet you won't regret it! :)

Ciao for now,

Sandra
